The Cooperative Literacy Awareness camp programme was successfully conducted by the Salem District Central Cooperative Bank at its Valapady Branch on 25.09.2025. During the programme, the public and customers were educated on various topics such as opening of savings accounts, different types of bank accounts and their benefits, term deposits and recurring deposits and their advantages, locker facilities, various types of loans and the procedures to avail them, women-oriented loan schemes, savings and loan options for students, and special loan schemes and concessions available for differently-abled persons. Additionally, awareness was created on the use of ATM cards, KCC, debit cards, OTP usage, AEPS, QR codes, mobile banking, internet banking, RTGS, and NEFT facilities.
